Fun Night At Papertown Roots Radio With Tim Surrett!

Last night I got to hang out with long time friend Tim Surrett as he hosted Papertown Roots Radio. He did a tribute to the late Tony Rice. Tim and I have had the honor of working with Tony over the years and it meant a lot to me to be a part of that show. Tony and Tim have taught me so much over the years and I am thankful to call them both my friends. Tim and I will miss Tony, but we are so thankful we got to share some life with this extraordinary man. Last night we shared so many stories of our times with Tony and listen to some amazing cuts through out the night. In a world filled with streaming, it is so nice to listen to radio and get the behind the scenes information and commentary from Tim on his show. When you listen it takes you back to a time when music was really listened to, and not just background music.

As we sat and told stories last night, it hit me just how lucky I have been to be in such a wonderful career and to have such amazing relationships over the past 30 years. Tim and I have been doing projects together for over 27 years and it has been a blink of an eye. So as fast as this life moves take some time and join Papertown Roots on every Tuesday and Thursday night at 7pm on 101.7 fm and you can catch live video streaming with Tim on Facebook for behind the scenes fun! I have to say it is the perfect way to slow down for a bit, relax and listen to some great music.
